About the Item
This lovely, striking Art Deco painting -- executed in gouache (opaque watercolor) and applied with an airbrush, a new tool that became widely popular in the 1930s and 40s -- was made by Louis Kabrin, a Cincinnati artist. The artist was undoubtedly influenced by the stylized Art Deco paintings, also in gouache, executed by William Hentschel, one of the senior artists at Rookwood Pottery and the founder of Kenton Hills pottery,. Dimensions include original matte; dimensions of the print itself are 16 inches high by 14 inches wide.

Louis Kabrin
Louis Kabrin was a Cincinnati artist in the 1930s. He was no doubt influenced by William Hentschel, the renowned Rookwood artist and founder of Kenton Hills pottery, who produced a fine series of Art Deco prints in the 1930s.
