Gitanes is a brand of cigarettes produced by Seita, a subsidiary of the Imperial Brands group, created in 1910 at the same time as the Gauloises brand.
In 2014, part of its production was relocated to Poland following the closure of the Seita plant in Nantes.
The first Gitanes packages were designed in 1927 by Maurice Giot. This one represents Spanish symbols like the tambourine, a fan, and oranges.

The headquarters Mossant was founded in 1833 by Casimir Mossant.
The company is developing thanks in particular to the development of the railway, which allows for distant supplies and expeditions.
In the 1920s, the firm Mossant is at its peak. The factory employs 1,200 workers and produces up to 2000 hats per day, nearly half of which is in the United States.
After 1929, the economic crisis affected exports and the company diversified its production of felt (bags, berets, ...). Hat manufacturing activity declined and, in the 1950s, the factory's activity was converted into apparel until 1985, when the company was wound up.

Original Vintage Poster for Le Nil by Leonetto Cappiello dating from 1912.
Leonetto Cappiello (1875 - 1942), was born in Livorno, Italy, and spent most of his adult life in Paris where he became one of the most prolific poster artists of all time (he created more than 500 different poster designs for many of the most famous brands of the period).
Joseph Bardou also known as Job or Le Nil was one of the brands for which he did a number of posters.
