"Archer, " Lovely Art Deco Aquatone by Louis Kabrin, High Style Art Deco

About the Item

A very fine example of Art Deco printmaking at its most stylized and lovely, "Archer" is a unique airbrush print -- what the artist sometimes called a "aquatone" -- made by Louis Kabrin, a Cincinnati artist in the 1930s. The artist was no doubt influenced by William Hentschel, the renowned Rookwood artist and founder of Kenton Hills pottery, who produced a very fine series of Art Deco prints in the 1930s.
