Colorado - Dining Room Tables

A beautiful mid to late 1800s rustic French provincial solid cherry wood farmhouse table with a built in breadboard and two storage drawers. The age of this table is evident in the imperfections in the wood, which adds to the rustic charm of this piece. The pullout breadboard and storage drawers are a testament to the use of this table in a French country eat-in kitchen. When found the tabletop had been bleached out from decades of use and cleaning, likely with bleach water. Now the beautiful cherry color has been restored to match the original finish on the table base and legs. A coat of varnish has been applied to the surface of the tabletop to protect the wood and make this table ready for another century of use. Note the slight warping in the tabletop, evident in the photos. This is from age and reaction of the wood to humidity changes. Flipping the table upside down you can see old repairs that were made to the table over time. At some point in time an additional 2 inches was added to the tapered legs, see last photo, to raise the table apron to a comfortable 24" from the floor, a perfect height for chairs. Note the imperfections in the wood which add to the rustic charm. This table seats 6 comfortably and pairs beautifully with the antique English elm bar back chairs...

A beautiful vintage mid to late 20th century Eastern European or English rustic scrubbed pine farmhouse table which seats 8 comfortably. Square legs offer stability and a farmhouse feel. The light pine has wonderful old character but has been recently varnished to provide a clean and smooth eating surface. Random imperfections in the wood throughout from age and use, see photos.
