By Franco Albini

This set comes with the PAIR of elegnant chairs in the style of Franco Albini. These are from the 1960s, Italy. These are very comfortable and stylish. They are in good shape throughout. They are stunning and works of usable art! **We also have the matching Margherita Chair in a separate listing. Designer Franco Albini is well known for his "Margherita chair" as this is one of the most notable pieces of furniture created by the Lombard architect and designer in the 1950s. He partnered with Franca Helg for various projects in years. Albini’s inspiration in creating the chair is to suspend things and people in the air. Moreover, MoMA in New York City, the Museum of Art in Philadelphia, and the Triennale Design Museum in Milan showcased this beautiful and stunning wooden chair. Council Armchair by Gisbert Pöppler
Located in Geneve, CH
Council armchair by Gisbert Pöppler Dimensions: H 90 (SH 45) x W 69 x D 75,5 cm. Materials: Walnut armrests, upholstered body, steel frame legs. This handsome seat owes it‘s proportional origin to chairs once used in cold war diplomatic conference between leading officials. Appearing stately and affording comfort this chair is made to ensure the evening won’t stop because the company needs to stretch their legs. The walnut armrests which continue around the upholstered body, embracing its back are complimented with a steel frame and legs of refined proportions and together hold up this noble seat. Gisbert Pöppler studied architecture at California College of Arts and Crafts, San Francisco and Technische Universität, Berlin, graduating in 1996 with a Diplom Ingenieur. After completing his studies he spent several years working for various firms in Berlin, developing new architecture after the German re-unification. In 1999 Gisbert Pöppler founded Prinz–Pöppler, a partnership with architect Ilona Prinz – together creating office environments for start-up organizations filling the dynamic Berlin landscape...
