Each is signed, dated and numbered on the front. Price includes David Yarrow's custom black ash frame, white archival matting and protective UV acrylic. For unframed, $1,500 will be deducted from the price. David Yarrow has built an unrivaled reputation for capturing the beauty of the planet’s remote landscapes, cultures and endangered animals. Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1966, he is an internationally acclaimed fine art photographer and Europe’s best selling wildlife photographer. "This is one of the most unusual contextual images I have taken in East Africa in the last few years. The white of the flowering meadows and the white of the summit of Kilimanjaro combine to give the image an ethereal glow. The extreme weather conditions - it had rained torrentially for four or five days - had resulted in an implausible theatre of dreams. There was more snow on Kilimanjaro than I have ever seen before and the normal arid dustbowl of Amboseli was a garden bursting into acres of white carpet. For anyone that knows this area, the combination of whites provokes a degree of visual disquietude. It was quite a remarkable sight that was all down to the freak weather. The biblical rainfall had discouraged almost any other visitors and we had the amphitheatre to ourselves. We also had a film permit which allowed us to go off road - albeit the ground was very saturated and we were getting stuck regularly - we needed two vehicles to be safe. The bigger problem was that there were very few elephants in the park - the rain had pushed them out of the park and into the forests below Kilimanjaro. I knew, however, that in the vicinity of the KWS Rangers’ HQ, there are always a good number of big elephants hanging around as they feel safe. It was here that we spent much of our time this March - despite it being a 90 minute drive from our base. As soon as I saw the white meadows, I knew we had the chance of an image that offered a story of both lyrical grace and beauty - especially if the cloud lifted and we were exposed for a few brief minutes to the summit of Africa’s tallest mountain. Then we just needed the elephants and this was the X factor. No elephant - no party. About 5 pm on one unforgettable evening, everything came together as a small group of elephants headed to the foothills for the night and in so doing walked right through the white meadows. Getting in the right place for the composition was a fairly intense 10 minutes - I knew that this was a moment in time and I would not forgive myself if we missed it. I look at this picture a great deal and wonder whether it would be better if the elephants had been coming away from Kilimanjaro rather than moving towards it? We will never know, but the formation of the herd has a nice diagonal shape and it tells a story of a journey unaffected by my presence. I think the anonymity of the individual elephants helps focus on the wider context - which is really a hallmark of some sort of fantasy. Was this what The Garden of Eden...

Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1966, he is an internationally acclaimed fine art photographer and Europe’s best selling wildlife photographer. "How close can a prime lens go to the subject? My limit would normally be working from 3ft with a 35m wide angle. In my experience, a good rule of thumb is that the minimum focal distance in feet should – in 75% of circumstances – be a tenth to a fifteenth of the numerical lens specification and then the maximum should be double that. For instance, I would not normally tend to use a 85m lens at a range of 6ft or less and equally why use a 35m at more than 6ft? So if there is the possibility of exploring focal distance at 1.5ft without a fisheye lens, the 20m lens has a chance and the Nikon 20m F1.4m is an outstanding lens. It gives contextual detail with comfortable “bokey” and it gives portrait detail with eye grabbing clarity. If that is all a bit technical, I apologise but photography is rarely not about maths. Of course it is about emotional employment and personal soul, but Ansel Adams was a mathematician first. Practitioners should understand how light enters the camera and also how lenses work. On social media, “The Hunger Games...

"Remote control positioning requires days of research and monitoring of past behavior and then a strong mathematical head. Once the camera is positioned neither the exposure settings or the focus can be changed. At sunrise and sunset this represents a big dilemma because the light changes by a “stop” every 5 – 10 minutes. Also in fading or rising light...

Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1966, he is an internationally acclaimed fine art photographer and Europe’s best selling wildlife photographer. "I have a paranoia of the mundane and maybe this picture exposes that trait. The idea came to me as I walked back to my hotel from a charity dinner in Chicago in the autumn. I was a few glasses of red the wrong side of sober. The city has the most visually intoxicating architecture in America and at the cross point of the river and Michigan Avenue, there is space to breathe and find a full frame, as opposed to a brutally vertical perspective. This distinguishes central Chicago from Manhattan. It is truly a stunning location, particularly at night. The incumbent US President chose his asset location well. Taking my audacious and challenging preconception linearly through to its conception in the middle of a cold Chicago night involved a huge amount of team work and resolve and I thank everyone for their roles – especially the wolf and Chicago PD. (whose charitable foundation will rightly benefit from the proceeds of print sales). I have closed down bars in my time, but never whole streets in a city centre. We started at 11pm and finished at 3 am. I know there is a thin line between creative courage and insanity, but I like to push boundaries. It is up to the viewer to determine my reason for the title. I could be referring to the clock in the famous neo gothic tower behind the Chicago Tribune building...

"This is a hard-earned and timeless photograph – It has soul and a sense of place to it and I am proud to be responsible for its creation. There are many quiet days or weeks in the field, where there is nothing magical to capture and no transcending images with which to return. Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1966, he is an internationally acclaimed fine art photographer and Europe’s best selling wildlife photographer. "I have long aspired to capture imagery of big elephant shadows in Sub-Saharan Africa. This is normally only feasible from the air on little bush planes and this practice is both expensive and hardly in keeping with the serenity of the subject matter. The far better alternative is to find vantage points high enough to be able to look down on the land below and perhaps capture shadows from nearby elephants. On the edge of Amboseli National Park there is such a place. The problem then is simply that big shadows...

Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1966, he is an internationally acclaimed fine art photographer and Europe’s best selling wildlife photographer. "This is as good as I can do. The best ideas tend to be simple and the best photographs can often have simplicity at their heart, rather than intimacy or visual overload. The paradox is that this simple portrait was the product of fairly complex working arrangements in the field. Unlike many of my lion shots, this was not taken with remote controls, it was camera in hand. I was in a two-man cage, with my assistant behind me controlling the door with a rope. The minimum distance I could feel safe was about 25 feet and this required the use of a 200 mm lens – long for me, but the outstanding lens in Nikon’s telephoto range. In my view, the best time to photograph lions is about half an hour after sunrise. The light gets stronger by the minute and this allows for a faster shutter speed or more depth of field. The face of the lion could not be sharper – every detail is there and he is looking right into my eyes – as he is transfixed. Three steps forward and the cage door closed and with it the opportunity. The image is timeless and the backlit dust adds to its elemental and rather biblical mood. I thought that we should call it The Old...
