Our design is inspired by the simple aesthetic and ingenious joinery of the American Shakers. This two-plank dining table in American bookmatched black walnut with a traditional linseed oil finish can be ordered to suit in various lengths & widths. Table can also be made using other woods like maple, cherry or mahogany. This particular table is in stock & ready to ship. Table disassembles into four sections to facilitate shipping & installation.
Measurements: 11' 8" long x 36" wide x 30" high.
Note: We source all of our wood from a small mill on the Susquehanna river in Pennsylvania that specializes in cutting old growth trees that are in distress and need to be removed for safety reasons. These trees yield lumber that can no longer be found commercially. The boards are wide and the grain is tight with superb figuring and modeling. Magnificent vintage Scandinavian Modern Gudme Mobelfabrik of Denmark teak expanding dining or conference table with 2 leaves. This piece has been attributed based upon archived research including online sources, vintage documentation and catalogs, designer literature, and other materials however, it is not signed or marked in any way. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, the top has been refinished. There were a couple spots where the veneer was sanded through right on the edge where the 2 halves come together. They have been filled and colored. There are also a couple scratches that were so deep they can still be seen but not felt. It was given a topcoat of polyurethane. Please see photos, zoom in for details, and see long description as they are part of the condition report. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, 1960’s.

The Paris based label has distinguished themselves since their launch, with their iconic use of shagreen mixed with brass and other exotic materials. All furniture is handcrafted by skilled artisans, ultimately making each piece unique, designed in Paris and produced in the Philippines.
The Apoli breakfast table by Kifu Paris is both dramatic and organic its unique design. The black pen shell inlaid top sits on an ethereal geometric and sculptural bronze-patina brass base. This piece is designed by Kifu Augousti the daughter of Ria and Yiouri Augousti. Part of the Apoli Capsule Series, see images of collection at end of slide.

Although inspired by her parents, her collection of Home Accessories and Furniture is a distinct identity of its own. Kifu uses handmade techniques of elaborate inlay patterns of shagreen, shells, semi-precious stones, materials she experienced as a child growing up in her parent’s studio, but interpreted in a younger quirkier way reflecting her youth.
