Lutz's 2007 ''Warhol Denied'' series gained international attention calling into question the importance of originality or lack thereof in the work of Andy Warhol. The authentication/denial process of the [[Andy Warhol Art Authentication Board]] was used to create value by submitting recreations of Warhol works for judgment with the full intention for the works to be formally marked "DENIED". The final product of the conceptual project being "officially denied" "Warhol" paintings authored by Lutz.
Based on a press photo painted by Pop Artist Andy Warhol in early 1960's, this is likely one of the most iconic images from his Death and Disaster Series. The Death and Disaster Series was a dark view of the time's media and death culture. In his more than three decades as an artist, Nicholas Berger (b. 1949) has created an outstanding body of work that continues to evolve and excite viewers. Best known for his industrial, waterfront scenes of New York between 1930-1970, Berger effortlessly captures a period when the technology and landscape of the city was rapidly changing. Although he paints scenes of a bygone era, Berger draws inspiration from the waterfronts near his home in New York’s Hudson River Highlands as well as historical sources in museums. Berger holds BFA and MFA degrees from Alfred University.

Georges Dayez , born on July 29 , 1907 In Paris where he died in 1991 , is a French painter , engraver and lithographer of the new Ecole de Paris whose works have been regularly exhibited with those of non-figurative painters.
Georges Dayez is the eldest son of the editor Jules Dayez, a native of the North and a son of a peasant, who in 1905 had taken over a small-size engraving studio in Paris rue des Marais, printing in particular gravure reproductions of eighteenth- century images E century. His mother, Marie Brard, was born in Neuilly in a Norman family of Bayeux . After the birth of a second son, the family settled in Vaires-sur-Marne in 1909 where Georges Dayez attended the communal school from 1913 , took refuge for two months in Bayeux in 1914 , in Tinténiac ( Brittany ) In 1918 . In 1919 Georges Dayez obtained his certificate of studies and spent his holidays in Vicq , in the mining country of the north of Valenciennes , with his grandfather, the spectacle of the destruction caused by the war impressively him, then returns to the college of Meaux .
In 1924 , after spending the first part of the baccalaureate, he stopped studying to start painting, and studied phototypy and intaglio and lithography in his father's studio. He attended the Académie de la Grande Chaumière at Montparnasse and the Julian Academy in Saint - Germain - des - Prés , as well as the evening drawing courses of the City of Paris, which Adam also followed. In 1926 he was accepted as a "free pupil" in the studio of Lucien Simon at the Ecole des Beaux Arts . In any landscape there are places and objects of quiet monumentality so ingrained into the scene that they are nearly invisible or regarded only as ordinary or outdated artifacts of the past. Some are small in scale, and some suggest a kind of architectural grandeur mixed with a pathos stemming from their obsolete utility and the evidence they bear of the passage of time. Some, like the abandoned oil rigs in and around the Gulf of Mexico, are poignant reminders of environmental optimism and tragedy.
Primarily encountered on trips around our region, stretching up as far as the delta of northwestern Mississippi and southeastern Arkansas and as far south as the mouth of the Mississippi, these places and objects evoked the curiosity and affection, which prompted this show. The paintings, the result of a labor-intensive technique requiring many layers of color, are intimately sized though they often deal with subjects of great scale.
Trained as an architect and a practicing architect until 2016, Barron now works primarily as a painter. For many years he has taught at the Tulane University School of Architecture and is a Fellow in the American Institute of Architects. In 2012, he was awarded the Gold Medal of the Louisiana Architects Association and in 1995 was awarded the prestigious Gabriel Prize from the Western European Architecture Foundation.

This bright and serene scene of ships unloading off San Diego, California features a ship with a less than quiet history. The painting shows a typically bright and sunny Southern California day, the deep blue waters of San Diego providing the perfect backdrop for unloading crucial lumber for construction. The painting has Thimgan's eye for detail including the historic ship he's depicted, surely with a knowledge of her history, and his ability to so perfectly depict California's coastal landscape and surrounding waters.
Some ships of legend get their reputations not for speed or daring rescues, but for the amount of chaos which happens onboard. Sailors, being generally a superstitious lot, could spread a ship's reputation like wildfire. As with the supposedly haunted places on land, the odd instances become larger tales whispered over strong drink in port or at worst, printed in bold newspaper headlines. The best crews don't want to serve aboard such vessels, so only the most hardened men sign on. Tempers flare and conditions deteriorate. Over time a ship gains the nickname of "hell ship" or "blood ship." This was the fate of the Bark HESPER.
HESPER was purpose built in 1882 for the Pacific "Triangle Trade" - carrying lumber to Australia, coal to Hawaii and sugar to California, though she took on other cargoes in her career. The wooden bark of 603 tons was built by the Halls Brothers...
