Ruega por Ella is an original etching realized by the great Spanish artist Francisco Goya and published for the first time in 1799. Original etching on paper. The plate is part of the Third Edition of "Los Caprichos" that has been published in 1868 by the Calcografia Nacional of Madrid for the Real Academia. The full edition includes 80 different Etchings. Plate number 31. Titled on the lower margin "Por que fui Sensible" (Because was emotional). Very Good Conditions. A small spot is presents on the right margin. While she's directing the preparation of the young figure that is watching us, his pupil, the maitresse reads his eternal rosary to obtain God's fortune through the sale of someone else's body.
