Society of London Art Dealer (SLAD)
Society of London Art Dealer (SLAD)
Since 1932, the Society of London Art Dealers has demanded the highest standards from its community of more than 140 top-tier galleries. SLAD regularly hosts seminars on pressing issues facing the art world, and advocates on its dealers’ behalf, lobbying for policies that will secure their future. On these pages, you’ll find art ranging from Romantic-era paintings to works by today’s leading creators. You can read more about SLAD in Introspective.

Breath of Life Stainless Steel Sculpture
By Ryan Schmidt
Located in New York, NY
Polished Stainless Steel Abstract Sculpture. Beautiful lines. The artist has perfected a seamless pairing of the materials so it appears flawless. Can be inside or outside. On circular base that is 16" in height and 60" in circumference. Base can be changed. The stainless piece is about 11' without the base and about 5' from tip to tip. Easy maintenance if outside. Just need to wipe down once or twice a year. If outside if catches the light throughout the day. Notice in one of the photos the positive space created on the ground by the reflection of the piece. An added element of design and beauty. The artist will deliver and install the piece. Fee tbd depending on location. Commissions with different sizes/finishes is also an option. About the artist: Ryan T. Schmidt’s ambitious intention is to create atmospheric, monumental sculpture that captures the everlasting properties of the sun...

The Long and the Short of It - Modern Blue Organic Geometric Steel Sculpture
By Granville Beals
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Inspired by dance and weightlessness, Granville Beals' industrial metal sculptures are primarily about relationships. Concerned with form and abstraction, he does not merely manipulate metals to defy the expectation of the medium forms, but explores the relationship between the human figure and the landscape, color and texture, and most importantly between people at an individual and social level. He established innovative ways to push the boundaries of his technique, creating modern abstract geometric designs inspired by contemporary art and architecture as well as organic forms expressing the unique vision for humanity in a modern world. This blue contemporary sculpture...
