
- Works representing four decades of Ettore Sottsass‘s career are on view through May 14 in Friedman Benda and Galerie56’s exhibition “Et Tu Ettore.” Pieces on view include rare prototypes from the designer’s personal collection.
- Fendi turns 100 years old this year. The fashion house is celebrating this massive milestone by bringing out a new, taller version its classic Fendi Baguette bag, per T Magazine. Fendi released the original Baguette in 1997, following up with versions in a variety of materials, such as wool, silk and lizard, shearling and calfskin leather.
- Saint Laurent is bringing to life to four furniture designs by Charlotte Perriand that previously existed only as sketches and prototypes, according to WWD. These rare pieces by the legendary mid-century designer will be available on a made-to-order basis.
- The Seattle Art Museum is hosting an expansive Ai Weiwei retrospective spanning all three of its locations — a first for SAM, according to Wallpaper. The show ends September 7, but the artist’s 2022 work Water Lilies will remain on view for a full year, and Circle of Animals/Zodiac Heads (2010) will spend two years in the Olympic Sculpture Park.
