Large Chinese four panel Japanese style byobu folding screen depicting a waterfall landscape. The scene is decorated with bamboo, colorful blue magpies, and crashing waves. Constructed with ink and natural colored pigments on paper and set in a wood frame with a silk brocade border. The screen is titled "Happy Spring Event" (Chun Xi) and dated 1987 with a cyclical date. The screen is in very good condition with vibrant color. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
