Late 20th Tropitone Kahana Stackable Chaise Lounge Vinyl Straps Aluminum Frame
By Tropitone
Located in Topeka, KS
Wonderful Late 20th Century Mid-Century Modern Tropitone Kahana stackable chaise lounge w/vinyl straps & powder coated aluminum frame. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, all frames have been cleaned with soap & are in good stable condition but do have some nicks, scratches, & dings to the frame finish. The straps have some yellowing from sun exposure, lotions, & use. Also, when the chairs are stacked the vinyl straps stretch but when un-stacked the straps return to their original form. Please see photos, zoom in for details, and see long description as they are part of the condition report. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Late 20th Century. NOTE: We have 33 of these Tropitone Kahana stackable chaise lounges available so you may buy as many as you wish here in this listing. We also have other listings composed of Tropitone Kahana stackable chaise lounges that are a bit older & a slightly different color here for sale, check them out!! NOTE II: If you want a photo of the exact chair/s you would be getting, please request at purchase so you can examine and approve prior to shipping. Otherwise, we will ship the chair/s we have that is in the best condition at the time of your order. Kahana, Hawaii… A beautiful beach PARADISE!!! Well, that explains the choice of Tropitone’s name. Everyone loves a good lounging experience… And it’s EVEN BETTER if you’re lucky enough to be laying in a fabulous vintage Tropitone Kahana chaise lounge… GOOD NEWS!!!… We are here to help!! This is a FANTASTIC vintage Kahana chaise lounge chair by Tropitone composed of a commercial quality textured powder coated aluminum frame, smooth vinyl straps with a double wrapping technique exclusive to Tropitone enhancing durability and comfort, a height adjustable backrest with five different lean choices, and it bears a premier construction design boasting sleek geometric lines, elegance, functionality, ergonomic comfort, and a weather resilient finish ready to take on all of the elements! The color is somewhere between the current “Textured Sonora” and “Textured Shell” and it is conveniently STACKABLE!!! Whether on your patio, surrounding a firepit, aside the tiki bar, or lined along the poolside… this marvelous mid-century modern chaise is the one you need. Much like its island beach namesake, this Kahana vinyl strap chaise lounge chair is ready to complete your outdoor paradise. Tropitone was founded in Sarasota, Florida in 1954 by Burt M. Baker, a retired Lockhead Engineer and executive at Grand Rapids Chair Company. Tropitone served the contract market, including hotels, motels, clubs, and resorts with high performing outdoor patio furniture. In the 1960’s they introduced powder coated aluminum finishes to the industry. Utilizing a multi-step wash process that ensures a lasting finish, Tropitone’s aluminum frames prevail under any environmental conditions. Tropitone also pioneered the technique of double-wrapping vinyl straps around the powder coated aluminum frame for extra durability, which continues today. In 1970’s they established operations in Irvine, California which provided a bi-coastal manufacturing to North American customers. In the 80’s they released “Comfort is Key” cushions and sling seating. Tropitone sling seating has the perfect combination of clean lines, designer fabrics and carefree maintenance. In the 90’s EZ Span and Basta Sole Umbrellas were introduced and in the 2000’s woven furniture and Relax Plus cushion seating was created including replications of rattan or wicker outdoor...

Outdoor Stump Table - 15" High
By Bertu Furniture
Located in Oak Harbor, OH
Please scroll down to read IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT OUR STUMPS before purchase! Please note, we have upgraded to a more durable outdoor finish with extra UV protection. With the extra durability comes more of a glossier and whiter finish. Please refer to photo #2 which shows the true new outdoor finish. Why buy our stumps? KILN DRIED Our stumps all go through a drying process in our kiln, sometimes for up to a month. We are meticulous with bringing each and every log to a specific moisture level. This process helps with major cracking, long-term moisture issues, and bugs. ECO FRIENDLY In an effort to replenish the trees we use, we plant 50+ trees a year. In addition, we practice salvage logging. Where do we source these? Some of the trees fall naturally. Some have damage from severe wind, lightning, flood, disease, or other natural disturbance so they need to be cut and removed before they fall. Others are fresh cut because people want them off their land. Salvage logging may reduce erosion, reduce intensity of future wildfires, and slow buildup of pest insects. FAMILY OWNED These are made from our family to yours. Quality is of utmost importance, and we hand cut, de-bark, sand, and finish every piece with care. COMMERCIAL GRADE These stumps are meant to be loved and USED. Each is finished with a durable commercial-grade finish. This finish is tough enough for spills, kids, and holds up in hotel and hospitality settings. PLEASE NOTE : These stumps will age naturally, and even more so being outdoors and exposed to the elements. Each is a solid log with its own unique character so we can not guarantee the finish won't fade or discolor as this varies per climate and log. These outdoor tree stump tables are made in the heart of Ohio with locally sourced wood. They can be used for a side table, a stool, or grouped together for a coffee table. Each table is hand-made with a solid trunk of red cedar with a commercial-grade OUTDOOR finish. Please specify your color choice when ordering - whitewash, black, or natural. IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT OUR STUMPS... 1. Please unpack your stump immediately and leave it out of any packaging. These are real pieces of wood and need to breathe! 2. For OUTDOOR stumps...

Monumental Makah TOTEM by Young Doctor 108"H
By Native American Art
Located in Coeur d'Alene, ID
Makah TOTEM by Young Doctor (1851-1934). Neah Bay, Washington. This monumental pole is a significant piece of Northwest Coast art and Seattle history that was previously owned by Joseph Edward “Daddy” Standley, the founder of the iconic Ye Olde Curiosity Shop in Seattle, Washington. The pole was displayed for years on the grounds of Standley’s “TOTEM Place” estate in West Seattle, across the bay from his iconic ethnographic art and curio shop on the Seattle Waterfront. So popular amongst tourists was the TOTEM Place estate grounds, that the Southwest Seattle Historical Society has stated that “for decades... it was a place where tour buses stopped, and flashbulbs popped. It probably was the most gawked-at, talked-about residence in West Seattle.” This pole was even featured in situ at Standley’s West Seattle home on a postcard that was sold to visitors through Ye Olde Curiosity Shop. While there are multitudes of model poles and other artifacts available to collectors that were sold as souvenirs from Ye Olde Curiosity Shop, objects that were actually owned by Standley are virtually unknown in the art market. The vast majority of objects that Standley esteemed and considered his private collection have remained with his family and descendants and are on permanent display in the store. Among the objects owned by Standley to make their way into the Smithsonian was a Spirit Canoe sculpture by Makah master carver Young Doctor (1851-1934), the likely carver of this pole. It would appear that Standley and Young Doctor had a good working relationship as a number of pieces, including this TOTEM, an elaborate transformation mask, the aforementioned Spirit Canoe model at NMAI, and a full model set of a Makah whaling crew and canoe were made for Standley by the artist. This large-scale TOTEM pole is an exceptional example of turn-of-the-20th-century Northwest Coast carving...
