17th Century Spanish Baroque Carved Wood Gold Leaf Frame

Rectangular frame finely carved in pinewood with gold leaf flowers details. An original and gorgeous example of the Spanish Baroque style. The frame was restored 20 years ago. It has belonged to our private collection and it comes from Zaragoza, Spain. This piece framed a religious "Ecce Homo" oil on canvas from the current artistic trend of the Spanish painter Juan de Valde´s Leal. The frame has some wood looses at the bottom part on the right side. Beautiful piece to frame a contemporary art canvas or a mirror.
