About the Item
Unusual, rare pair of Art Nouveau Period, sterling silver, wood-backed picture frames, Birmingham, England, year-hallmarked for 1919, W.G. Sothers, Ltd. - makers. Corners of each frame are scrolled in design. Each frame measures 6 1/2 inches high (at highest point) x 4 1/2 inches wide (at widest point) x 3 1/4 inches deep when easel is in open position. Oval window of each frame measures and will show an oval photo 5 inches high x almost 3 1/2 inches wide. Inside of frame is covered in pale yellow moire silk (which is removable). Dark areas on sterling silver in photos are reflections. In very good antique condition.
