Large Meissen Porcelain Figure, Putto 'The Day', by Heinrich Schwabe, Mid-20th
About the Item
Large putto floating above the earth's atmosphere:
Day, in a bright pink robe, holding a rose blossom in his left arm, stretching upwards full of morning energy, in his right hand a torch, the symbol of warmth and light, sunrays adorn his head, a sunflower, ears of corn and a singing bird to his right are further attributes of the day that brings life to bloom. Based on a gilded spherical segment on an octagonal white base plate with gold decoration
