A fine antique porcelain Cupid figurine. By Meissen. Model no. F13 from the Cupid Motto Series. Entitled "Je decouvre tout". Originally designed by Michael Acier in 1775. In the form of Cupid uncovering a pair of hearts with an arrow and quiver at his feet. Marked to the plinth: "Je decouvre tout". The French translates as "I discover everything". Marked to the base with a blue underglaze crossed swords Meissen mark with one cancellation mark indicating a factory second, F13 for the model number, and an illegible artist designation. Simply a great Meissen figurine! Date: Late 19th or Early 20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs noted, some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
