Important Book 'Seigneurs et Princes de Monaco' by S.E René Novella and Philip R
Located in London, GB
Important book 'Seigneurs et Princes de Monaco' by S.E René Novella and Philip Reder French, Late 20th century Book: height 6.5cm, width 30cm, depth 38cm Case: height 9.5cm, width 34cm, depth 40cm Beautifully decorated in the style reminiscent of Medieval illuminated manuscripts, the book describes the history of Lords and Princes of Monaco. Written by S.E René Novella and illustrated by Philip Reder in the late 20th century, it was manufactured using traditional bookmaking techniques by Arts et Couleurs. Intricate colour border detailing adorns the pages of this publication, with a colour palette of various shades of green, blue, and red predominating. The names of lords and kings are further decorated with ornate borders, including motifs such as a crown, and the text includes ornate, coloured lettering. A luxurious red satin case with a red leather spine protects the book which comes with a certificate of authenticity. A collection of red lacquer illustrations depicting various arches is part of the publication. Red leather was used for the cover of the book and is decorated with gold and black debossed patterns. Antique French 19th Century Jewelry Box Flap Door Miniature Wood Cabinet
Located in Firenze, IT
This beautiful French late 19th century chest of drawers in black ebonized wood and cherrywood reproduces with perfect proportions in scale a miniature cabinet with three drawers and an upper flap door that opens to reveal a white marble top and an oval mirror inside, nice hand carved band on top with geometrical pattern and molded base. The black lacquered wood creates a wonderful contrast with the beautiful honey-colored wood grain. Despite its convenient size, extremely detailed, this chest of drawers is equipped with a white Carrara marble top and a small mirror that make it even more special and useful. The model of a piece of furniture was originally created by cabinet makers to show their skills to the customer and to present the sample of the furniture which would then have been produced on a larger scale. These commode miniatures, along with other specimens, were displayed in the craftsman's workshop to serve as examples to aid the potential client in making a selection. Some also think that these little chests were used as doll and puppets...

Mahjong Game Set in Green Satin Brocade Carrying Case and Green Back Tiles
Located in Oklahoma City, OK
Beautiful vintage Chinese Mahjong set in a green brocade carrying case. A great way to keep family and friends occupied! This set is held in a green satin box. The box itself is covered in a padded silky green fabric with gold stitched details. The top is close-able with an off white fastener which does not fasten. The box lid opens to reveal beautiful white color tiles with green backing. Under the box lid is a paper that features a faint chinoiserie floral pattern in pink and cream. How We Would Style It: First and foremost, this game should be used to play! Mahjong is a game that dates back to China in the Qing dynasty. Commonly played with four players, it is definitely a game to bring together family and friends. Although it is a hard game to master, learning the basics is quite easy. For those who have seen Crazy Rich Asians, the tile design of this set mimics the one from the movie with the green backing on each tile. When not being played, we would love to see this box on display on a coffee table or game table. (Perhaps between two Chippendale chairs, or even something more modern such as a pair of Royere chairs...
