17th century polychrome painted basement, rectangular shaped hand-realized in poplar wood, decorated in polychrome tempera with floral and vegetal motifs on both front and sides. It is a lovely hand-painted antique base for a sculpture of Italian, Piedmontese origin.
Lower and upper profiles still show gilding traces.
