About the Item

This refined Mid-Century Modern chair was realized by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates in the United States, circa 1970. It features a sculptural base with hourglass form cross slats and subtly splayed legs all in handrubbed walnut. Additionally, the chair offers rounded slightly cantilevered arms; a tapered geometric high back with button detailing; and a gently rounded seat. This piece reflects the understated dynamism and bold forms that have made Adrian Pearsall one of the most enduring American designers of the 20th century. Its fun and ebullient palate promise to add a "pop" of color to any interior, regardless of the style. It has been newly reupholstered and restored to mint condition.
