About the Item

Producer: Mücke-Melder Fryštát, cat. Type Fn24 These chairs have well preserved the original upholstery from the 1930s. The armchair with upholstery is based on the original design of the so-called spring chair Marcel Breuer. After 1933, when the development of tubular furniture began to adapt to the requirements of customers who had already requested upholstered furniture, this type of armchair became a model for many manufacturers, both abroad and especially for Czechoslovak manufacturers. In pristine original condition, the upholstery has been professionally cleaned, and its polish revived by our refurbishing team in Czechia. This item features classic Bauhaus design elements. Elements of this style are neutral colors and occasional bright primary colors. Bauhaus designers avoided the fussy and pretentious, looking for clean, modern lines. Perfect for a timeless yet modern look.
