About the Item

An original vintage model FD134 Danish "Boomerang" chair designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard Nielsen in 1954. Manufactured by France and Søn in solid teak and brass. A comfortable, practical and stylish chair with wonderful patina with its original springs. The legs have not been restored therefore retaining their wonderful aged patina. There are some minor scratches to the frame which are consistent with a 75 year-old vintage item. The cushions are completely new having been professionally upholstered with new foam and premium Orta Oatmeal fabric from Linwood Fabrics. The previous owner purchased the chair from new in the late 1950s and shipped it to the UK on repatriation in 1961. A classic and iconic mid century Danish chair oozing style and understated elegance. Dimensions: - H: 82cm W: 77cm D: 67cm
