About the Item

These incredibly rare stunners by Drexel Furniture Company, part of the "Counterpoint" series, circa 1950s. Designed by John Van Koert, a visionary in mid-century modern design, crafted an enduring legacy with his innovative and iconic creations. He was integral to the rise in popularity of Scandinavian modern furniture during the mid-20th century all over the United States. Always in tune with the times, at home with modern or traditional. Furniture inspired by the musical arrangement of distinctly separate themes, each unique, all interwoven in one melodious impression. You'll marvel at the streamlined sleekness and visible distinction it brings. Fully restored by our in-house team; professionally upholstery and refinished walnut frames. Gentle curved back with beautifully tapered legs. Low and horizontal profile- creates a look of spaciousness. Each piece reflects Koert's contribution to the enduring allure of mid-century modern craftsmanship.
