About the Item

Italian sofa model D70 designed by Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno in 1954 with metal frame structure with upholstery covered in blue green cotton linen fabric from the prestigious Rubelli Venezia weaving mill. The D70 has two swivel wings, a metal frame, the opening mechanism consists of a lever with a fixing pin which is inserted with the holes in a graduated plate, the mechanism is operated effortlessly by a practical knob and allows the backrest and seat to take any angle and bend to form a bed. Italy 1950s Tthe D70 was presented for the first time as a “patented sofa bed” at the exhibition of individual furniture in the tenth exhibition of the 1954 Triennale.
