About the Item

1970s stock of Ron Arad's Infinity wine bottle rack for Kartell. Can be assembled in several configurations. From Kartell's website description: Infinity is a colorful and curvilinear, modular bottle-holder. The elements which form the bottle-holder can be fastened together to form an indefinite number of rings inside which bottles may be stored. Born in Tel Aviv in 1951, Israel, Ron Arad is one of the most influential designers, architects, and artists of his generation. He studied at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem and then moved to London to study architecture, where he now works and resides. Arad is known for changing the way we rapidly manufacture products, by creating innovative new technologies. He works with an array of iconic brands, including Swarovski, KENZO, and New Eye London. Arad's breakthrough in design was the Rover chair in 1981, which he made from recycled materials, including scrapyard metal and seats from Rover cars. He also created a chair that can send and receive SMS messages for a revolutionary feature. His award-winning work is on display around the world.
