About the Item

Designed by Willy Rizzo in the 1970s, this sleek and sculptural black Formica sideboard is accented with bold brushed brass banding along the top and base, creating a rich contrast that feels both glamorous and sharply modern. The streamlined silhouette is punctuated by Rizzo’s signature circular brass push-latch handles — functional details that double as sculptural jewelry for the piece. This is a standout example of Rizzo’s unique fusion of minimalism and luxe materiality, making it perfect for contemporary or mid-century inspired interiors. It works beautifully as a statement piece in a dining room, or as a dramatic anchor in a living space, entryway, or office. The interior offers generous concealed storage behind four push-to-open doors. Stylish and distinctly cinematic, this sideboard captures the spirit of 1970s Italian design — bold, confident, and unapologetically glamorous. Easily Shipped anywhere in the world. Originally sourced in the USA this post modern / 1980s waterfall shape formica console table adds a real pop of character to any interior. The piece has three spacious drawers meaning it would be great hallway piece where you could keep your keys and wallet etc at night or other items one might need to hand for daily coming and goings. The piece is covered in formica which is a durable material, the formica used has a mottled effect. The piece could also be used in a bedroom as a vanity table or even as a desk though you would need an adjustable height chair...

Alberto Rocchi Brass and High Gloss Black Formica Art Deco Style Armchairs 1980s
By Alberto Rocchi
Located in Dublin 8, IE
What can one say about our French art deco style cube chairs ? Well firstly, If looks could kill these chairs would be mass murderers. In my opinion these are possibly one of the most stunning pairs chairs on the market today, the impact of these chairs and the contrast of the materials makes for some serious eye candy. The chairs themselves are a wood frame clad in a gloss black formica and trimmed in brass. The seat is one large and firm cushion and the back cushion is like a bolster style cushion. The fabric is a green cotton velvet. Due to the materials used we imagine that the chairs likely date from the late 70s / early 80s. We believe they are Italian. There are various suggestions of the creators name online such as Alain Delon however we believe the plaque bearing the signature on the side of the chairs says A Rocchi...
