They are fitted at the reverse with comfortable hinged backs for fastening clips. These earrings are quite substantial pieces of jewelry and are presented in the original jewelry box, adding great presence with fabulous visual appeal. Rubies: Mounted in channel settings, with 26 French caliber cuts of natural Burmese vivid red rubies, with a combined total weight of about 1.92 carats. Diamonds: Mounted in bezels and flush settings, with 36 graduated European round cut diamonds, with a combined total weight of about 2.46 carat, white colorless F color, VS-2 clarity. Birthstone: Rubies for the month of July. Weight: 14.45 Grams, (9.30 Dwt). Measurements: 32 mm by 13 mm (1.26 x 0.51 Inches). Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark and two sets of six-digits serial numbers as follows; "S41416". Garrard & Co. The company was formerly Asprey & Garrard Limited, designs and manufactures luxury jewelry and silver. George Wickes founded Garrard in London in 1735 and the brand is headquartered at Albemarle Street in Mayfair, London. Garrard also has a presence in a number of other locations globally. Garrard was the first official and most notably important Crown Jeweler of the United Kingdom having supplied jewels for Queen Victoria herself, and was charged with the upkeep of the British Crown Jewels, from 1843 to 2007, and was responsible for the creation of many tiaras and jewels still worn by the British royal family today. As well as jewelry, Garrard is known for having created some of the world's most illustrious sporting trophies, including the Americas Cup, the ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy and a number of trophies for Royal Ascot in its role as Official Trophies and Silverware Supplier, which originally dates back to the first Gold Cup in 1842. In 1843, Queen Victoria appointed Garrard as the first ever official Crown Jewelers, leading to the production of numerous pieces of silverware and jewelry for the Royal Family, as well as the upkeep of the Crown Jewels. The company has dealt with a number of famous jewels, such as the Cullinan diamonds (including Cullinan I, "The Great Star of Africa"), and created such pieces as the Imperial Crown of India in 1911, the crown of Queen Mary for her coronation, and the Crown of Queen Elizabeth in 1937. In 1852, Garrard were given the responsibility of re-cutting the famous Koh-I-Noor diamond into a brilliant. The Rubies In These Earrings Ruby can be one of the highest-priced, among the others color gemstones. The quality of rubies has been consistently rising, which breaks the annual auctions record. The value of rubies is determined by slight differences in colour, quality, and treatment, the desirable ruby colour is a pure vibrant red to slightly purplish red. Historically, the term 'pigeon’s blood' is known for the red to slightly purplish or pinkish-red colour of rubies with a soft glowing red fluorescence. These Burmese pigeon blood rubies are usually found in Mogok Myanmar. This colour effect makes Pigeon Blood Red Ruby gemstone desirable and popular.
