About the Item

A fine antique Tiffany dresser box. In sterling silver. By Tiffany & Co. With a raised star cartouche to the top, embossed decoration to the side, and a later, associated wood lining. Marked to the base with Sterling Silver / 925/1000 / and M for the Tiffany directorship of John C. Moore II (1907 - 1947). Simply wonderful Tiffany design! Date: Early 20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There is a later added wood liner now to the interior. This lid has a small smile and requires a slight second nudge to stay shut. There is a light ding to the back left corner. Otherwise, there are fine & light surface scratches throughout and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Fineness: Marked Sterling for silver fineness.
