Dial: The white enamel dial signed Breguet et Fils with Breguet numerals outer minute track with blued Steel Breguet style moon hands.
Case: The 18ct Rose gold case beautifully engined turned to the rear with vacant cartouche and ribbed sides to the case. The inner cuvette is made of gilt metal with two winding holes for the movement and for the musical barrel. The repeat mechanism is operated by pushing down on the pendant.
Movement: This rare complex movement with a keywind cylinder escapement, with musical barrel and repeating mechanism making this a very unusual and rare piece to own.

The inner gold cover is engraved Cronometro, the serial number and A. Huguenin & Sons Locle with an engine turned surround. The repeater slide is on the side of the case. The cases are all Swiss Hallmarked and numbered.

Unlike a standard chronograph,
which requires three separate steps—stopping, resetting, and starting—
the flyback mechanism combines all three into one seamless action.
Designed as a Double Hunter,
(can be opened from both sides allowing the timepiece to stand as a desk clock)
the piece is centring a white porcelain regulator format dial,
featuring original hands, subsidiary seconds at 9 o'clock,
hour indication subsidiary dial at 3 o'clock,
minutes and the chronograph indications are
on the outer radial dial which features 5-minute makers.
Measuring 53mm, 18K Yellow Gold Case,
with single pusher chronograph and patent Nicole Nielsen setting,
has both lids numbered 7602 (same number is on a movement),
bearing 18K gold stamp & English (London) hallmarks:
crown, leopard head, letter date (1864) &
sponsor’s mark “A.N.” – Adolphe Nielsen –
who was an inventor of flyback mechanism.
His initials AN are in cameo within a rectangular surround.
Powered by Manual Movement,
engraved “Nielsen Capt 14 Soho Square, London”
and numbered 7602
(meaning the movement was designed for this particular pocket watch)

Nicole, Nielsen & Co. was founded in 1839 by Swiss-born watchmakers Charles Victor Adolphe Nicole and Jules Philippe Capt.
By 1858, the company had moved to larger premises at 14 Soho Square, where it remained until its closure in 1934. Nicole & Capt produced movements and watches for renowned names such as E. J. Dent, Charles Frodsham, and others.
From around 1870 and for the next 60 years, Nicole Nielsen was known for crafting some of the finest and most complex English watches ever made.
Their work included tourbillons, chronographs, and bespoke timepieces.

Dial: The white enamel numbered Roman Dial with outer minute track subsidiary seconds dial at six o'clock with gold coloured hands and blued steel seconds hand.
Case: The heavy English hallmarked 18ct yellow gold case engine turned to the front and back cover with vacant cartouche to the front cover. The plain inner cover opens to reveal the movement. The cases are Birmingham hallmarked for 1884.
Movement: The rare and interesting three quarter plate keyless lever movement fully jewelled to the centre arbor numbered and signed W. Ehrhardt London.
