Pair of Armchairs by Carlo Hauner and Martin Eisler, Brazilian Midcentury, 1955
By Carlo Hauner, Carlo Hauner and Martin Eisler, Martin Eisler
Located in New York, NY
This stunning armchair was produced by the Brazilian Forma S.A. Móveis e Objetos de Arte in the 1950s, a company directed by Carlo Hauner and Martin Eisler. The piece is made of an iron structure and upholstered seats and backrests. This singular design consists of upholstered geometrical backs and armrests with shapes that embrace the body. Indeed, a very comfortable and elegant piece. Forma S.A. The piece is in its original condition. Restoration...

Vintage Rosewood Armchair by Celina Decorações, Brazilian Midcentury, 1960s
By Celina Decoracoes
Located in New York, NY
This armchair is made of solid Brazilian Rosewood, with new upholstery in gorgeous suede leather. The armrests have a rectangular design with a back of vertical slats. This model features a delicate and still well-constructed use of this precious wood, which became very scarce with the passage of the years. This piece received new upholstery in soft nubuck leather, but its structure in solid Rosewood remais in original condition. Based in Rio de Janeiro, the Celina Decorações factory imposed high-quality standards, maintaining handcrafted characteristics. The company was created in 1951 when Munis Zilberberg takes over the family business - a small upholstery workshop that worked on refurbishing sofa beds and antique furniture. The name is a tribute to her mother, Celina Zilberberg...

Balanço Bench by Rodrigo Ohtake, Brazilian Contemporary Design
By Rodrigo Ohtake
Located in Sao Paulo, SP
The Balanço Bench was created by the Brazilian contemporary designer Rodrigo Ohtake, in 2019. The mix of materials is the differential in this series. While wood is used as a seat, a metal plate, thick and curved, raises the first material from the ground in a light way and with minimal contact, both with the floor and with the wood. The structure is made of stainless steel and Cumaru Wood. Definitely a one of a kind and unique piece. Graduated at FAU / USP in 2009, with a period of studies at the Polytechnic of Milan, Rodrigo Ohtake is always in search of his own architectural style. Passionate about colors and free forms, he collaborated with architects Mario Biselli, Alvaro Puntoni, and Frenchman Patrick Jouin, in addition to working with his father, Ruy, from 2008 to 2016. In addition to working in the offices, he participated as a curatorial assistant in the exhibitions "Viver na Floresta", curated by Abílio Guerra, "O Coração da Cidade: Invention of Spaces" by Júlio Katinsky...
