This exceptional antique George V sterling silver hip flask has a plain rectangular rounded form. This impressive flask has a subtly curved form proffering a comfortable fit in the majority of pockets. The surface of the flask is plain and unembellished. This impressive antique flask is fitted with a plain domed hallmarked hinged cover with bayonet fitting. This George V flask retains the original full hallmarked detachable push fit drinking cup which features the original gilt interior, this drinking vessel is a large example for its type. This flask has been tested and is water tight and ready for use. To ensure the flask remains water tight, the cork should be moist and therefore fully expanded to provide an effective seal. An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique Victorian sterling silver water pitcher/jug; part of our antique dining silverware collection. This exceptional sterling silver water jug has a baluster shaped form onto a circular spreading foot. The waisted cylindrical neck of this silver jug is embellished with impressive stylised leaf motifs, segmented with opposing scroll designs. The lower swept portion of the neck is encompassed with the contemporary engraved inscription 'To Charles Edward Rawlins, junior honorary secretary to the Liverpool Anti Monopoly Association anno domini MDCCCXLII to MDCCCXLVII'; these Roman numerals convert to the Latin dates 1842 and 1847. The bulbous portion of the body is embellished with exceptional engraved scene depicting a female figure draped in flowing fabric being carried by a male character; this male could be associated to Hermes, the Greek Olympian deity and the herald of the gods. The other side of this exceptional jug is further embellished with a main, central female being adorned and clothed by three semiclad figures. The body of this exceptional example of antique silverware is further ornamented with two large scrolling palmette style designs, all on a matte background. The lower portion of the jug is encompassed with an interlacing scalloped style pendant bud design. The neck is embellished to the upper portion with impressive gadroon decoration to the shaped rim. The jug is fitted with an exceptional hinged hallmarked cover, surmounted with an impressive cast leaf decorated thumbpiece, accented with further scrolling decoration to the domed portion. This antique silver jug is fitted with an impressive elevated loop style handle ornamented with an exceptional cast and applied figural mark design to the lower terminal. The body of the box is embellished with impressive chased floral motifs accented with scrolling stem and foliate ornamentation, all on a matte background. The decoration to the body incorporates a chased single leaf design to each corner, emanating from the rounded lower portion. The upper rim of the body and swept sides of the cover are encompassed with a continuous band of engine turned decoration. The underside of the box features a further panel of engine turned decoration. This exceptional example of antique silverware is fitted with a hinged hallmarked cover embellished with an engine turned bordered rectangular vacant cartouche to the upper plateau. These exceptional antique George III sterling silver sauce tureens have a plain oval shaped form onto a plain oval spreading pedestal foot to a collet rim, in the classic English Adam style. The body of each tureen is plain and embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a demi-lion rampant, holding between the paws a lozenge. The rim and foot of each antique tureen is encompassed with applied reed decorated borders. These impressive sterling silver tureens retain the original hallmarked push fit covers surmounted with Adams style urn shaped finials. This magnificent and impressive antique Georgian sterling silver spirit kettle has a circular rounded form. The surface of the Georgian silver kettle is plain and embellished with a contemporary engraved coat of arms encompassed with a scrolling leaf decorated border/cartouche. This antique silver kettle is fitted with a plain flush hinged hallmarked cover; the flush hinge indicates the fine quality of this piece. The cover is surmounted with the original carved stained wood and sterling silver topped button style finial. This exceptional example of antique silver tea ware is fitted with the original hinged hand piece overlaid with interwoven wicker, strategically interlaced to produce a segmented braided design. The cast handle is further ornamented with scrolling decoration, in addition to substantial leaf sockets in junction with the body. The kettle is fitted with an impressive cast spout, accented with a scrolling design to the tip of the lip, in addition to moulded decoration to the lower portion.
