Edwardian Sterling Silver Cream Jug/ Creamer and Sugar Bowl

About the Item

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver creamer and sugar set, an addition to our Edwardian silver teaware collection. This exceptional antique Edwardian English sterling silver cream jug and sugar set have a plain rounded boat shaped form. The body of each piece is plain and unembellished. The upper and lower rim of each impressive example of antique teaware is embellished with an applied gadroon decorated border. The silver sugar bowl and cream jug are fitted with impressive scrolling loop handles embellished with stylized leaf decorated thumbpieces. Each piece is supported by four paw feet with impressive leaf decorated sockets in junction with the body. Condition Both pieces of this antique silver cream and sugar set are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each piece are clear, in keeping with age and location. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these examples of antique silverware. Dimensions Sugar bowl Length across handles 16.3cm/6.4", width 10.4cm/4.1", height 11cm/4.3". Creamer Length from back of handle to tip of lip 13.3cm/5.2", width 9.6cm/3.8", height 10.6cm/4.2".     A fine and impressive, large antique Edwardian English sterling silver sugar caster; an addition to our silver teaware collection. This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver sugar caster has a baluster shaped form onto a spreading domed foot. The body of this large caster is embellished with impressive embossed and chased floral and scrolling leaf decoration, incorporating three scroll bordered cartouches; two feature a scale motif diaper pattern background and the other remains vacant. The silver caster retains the original hallmarked push fit cover, embellished with impressive panels of pierced decoration amidst scrolling floral spray and trellis decoration.
