The artwork is sold framed. Dimensions of the framed artwork: 182 x 152 cm.All the artist's series are intrinsically linked to each other, he considers each series to be an evolution of the previous one.
In this piece, pink clearly stands out. This colour is particularly dear to the artist, who declares: “The house reflects my personality, and I am an incorrigible optimist. I always say that I don't see the world through rose-tinted glasses, but through rose-tinted eyes. This colour makes me incredibly happy, so I try to include it in my artworks and house”.
For Zoran Šimunović, art is above all play and pleasure. His vision of life is extremely optimistic, through his work he hopes to recall positive emotions or happy personal memories in the viewer’s mind. To that end, he uses refined combinations of bright and attractive colours in his paintings. The artist takes inspiration from his surroundings and ordinary objects that are part of his life: toys, fruits, furniture, plants... These common but important little things attract his attention and creativity and feature in his paintings.
“Some of the things I paint date back to my childhood, others are more recent. Their age is not important. What is, is the emotion they arouse in me. Sometimes it's hard for artists to bare their intimacy and show it to the world, but I have no problem with that. Maybe because I am always happy with my paintings, they give me pleasure and happiness and I hope they have the same effect on the public.”
