Born in 1957 in Neuilly sur Seine, Stéphane Couturier currently lives and works in Paris.
In 1994, Stéphane Couturier showed his first works in a series called 'Urban Archaeology', viewing the city as a living organism with multiple aspects. He photographed it deliberately avoiding anything that suggested poetry, nostalgia or strangeness. From 1999 on, Stéphane Couturier was increasingly drawn to suburbs and began to focus on a different type of landscape: on the one hand, by tackling housing blocks and high-rises in his 'Monuments' series; on the other, by photographing mushrooming housing developments.These generic cities soon became his favorite subject.

At the invitation of Julie Gutierrez, curator of the Musée Fernand Léger in Biot (France), Stéphane Couturier intensively studied the work of Fernand Léger, one of the Master of Modern painting in France in the early 20th century. Léger paid particular attention to the upheavals of his time. Alongside the city, the transformation of man through machine and mass production was the central theme of his works, which, starting from the formal experiments of the Cubists, found their own artistic expression, combining Cubist avant-garde with Communist commitment. ‘I have become aware of the many elements that bring me closer to him - his fascination for the city, for industrial elements, for architecture, for the geometry of forms...’, comments Stéphane Couturier on his examination of Léger's work. When photographs of cityscapes and industrial architecture are combined with the painter's compositions, the principle of superimposing two images, which the photographer has developed into an essential element of his art in recent years, is taken to a new level. The encounter of two different and yet closely related, because architectural structures, leads to works that are both painterly photographs and photographic paintings. Constructively and constructively, these works depict the reality as seen, yet go beyond the merely visible. Not images, but pictures that have their own reality. "The Painters Project" by Eric Ceccarini is an ongoing collection of collaborations with painters and models that give birth to a number of distinctive photographs. Ceccarini offers the artists the opportunity to collaborate with some of the very best models he has worked with throughout his career to create an array of spectacular images. The Artist brings his own creative universe, techniques and palette, the Model their personality and body language. The model and artist interaction is key to the process. The temporary nature of the painting on human skin is captured and immortalized through Ceccarini’s lens to create the photographic artwork.
Eric sets himself apart from others by shunning technical artifice and working in natural light, outside the studio. This results in soft, velvety, almost painterly images that amaze.
Eric is a Belgian artist born in 1965. He gained a degree in photography from INFAC, Brussels in 1987, and has since then been a fashion photographer working with many of the top houses. Chopard, Elle, Marie-Claire, L’Oréal, Levi’s, Coca Cola, Virgin, Saab, Delvaux, Lowe Lintas and Ogilvy are just some of Ceccarini’s high-profile clients.

Knight made fashion history in November 1993 by adapting ring-flash photography to capture Linda Evangelista for a landmark, post-grunge cover of British Vogue. Since then, his work has graced no fewer than 36 covers. He has shot advertising campaigns for Jil Sander, Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, Yves Saint Laurent, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen and Christian Dior to name a few. He has also shot record covers for David Bowie, Paul Weller, George Michael and Massive Attack.
Knight’s work has been exhibited at institutions such as the Victoria & Albert Museum, Saatchi Gallery, The Photographers’ Gallery, the Hayward Gallery and recently the Tate Modern. Knight has also turned his hand to directing music videos - Pagean Poetry by Björk in 2001 being his first and, most recently, Kanye West’s Bound 2. He directed the video for Lady Gaga’s hit single Born This Way in 2011. Both the song and the video aimed to empower and show solidarity within minority groups, a common theme in Knight’s work.
The work is one of a recently published series of prints that took 10 years to produce due to the long development process they triggered. Inspired by 16th century still lifes, Knight applied various techniques such as heat and exposure to a photograph during the developing process, creating a picture with a wonderful effect in which the colours seemed to magically merge and develop a life of their own.
Knight began this project when he and his wife were given access to the barium of the Natural History Museum in 1993 for his installation "Plant Power" Flora. From the 6 million different species available (it took him 3 years to sift through them all) he made a final selection of 46 specimens and almost 15 years later decided to publish 15 pictures...

Inspired by 16th century still lifes, Knight applied various techniques such as heat and exposure to a photograph during the developing process, creating a picture with a wonderful effect in which the colours seemed to magically merge and develop a life of their own.
Knight began this project when he and his wife were given access to the barium of the Natural History Museum in 1993 for his installation "Plant Power" Flora. From the 6 million different species available (it took him 3 years to sift through them all) he made a final selection of 46 specimens and almost 15 years later decided to publish 15 pictures...
