18th C Georgian Jelly Glass with Bell Bowl Cushion Knop Hand Blown, Ca 1780

This is a very good hand-blown, English mid-Georgian Jelly glass, dating to the last quarter of the 18th century, circa 1780.
These glasses are very collectable. It is made from English lead glass which is relatively heavy and has a soft grey colour.
The glass has a bell bowl above a flattened cushion knop which forms a rudimentary stem. The stem leads to a conical foot having a rough snapped off pontil mark to the underside. There are no chips, cracks or any evidence of restoration.

A rare and stunning French majolica twin handled pottery bowl applied with birds by renowned maker Sarreguemines and dating from the latter 19th century. The rounded bowl stands raised on four half ball shaped feet with a basket weave styled design. The rounded bowl is applied with decorative panels in low relief with leaf and stem handles to either side and with birds, their wings out spread, perched on a scorlling vine. Dresden porcelain - A King's Obsession
In the early 1700s, King Augustus II, prince elector of Saxony, held goldsmith Johann Bottger prisoner and commissioned him to create gold. Bottger instead discovered the method of creating porcelain, a favored and valuable item in the king's eyes.
The king announced to Europe in 1710 that he would open a porcelain manufactory in Dresden. He instead opened one at nearby Albrechtsburg castle. Espionage was rampant, and the king guarded his porcelain secret, even though it meant imprisoning workers within the castle walls.
By 1720, the secret was leaked and porcelain producers popped up in Vienna and Venice. Dresden porcelain adopted Saxon crossed swords in under-glaze blue as its distinguishing mark.

This is a well potted oval shaped dish or bowl with a vertically fluted and moulded side edge and rim, sitting on a low foot.
The piece is beautifully hand decorated in a free flowing manner, in one of Derby's Imari style floral Patterns, with enamels of cobalt blue, burnt orange, pink and yellow, all in varying shades. 18th Century Chinese Export Porcelain Imari Tureen and Cover-Duck in Pond

Chinese export porcelain Imari Tureen and cover,
Circa 1780
The Chinese Export porcelain tureen and cover are painted in the Imari palette. The body and cover are painted in underglaze blue and iron-red with ducks on a pond surrounded by water lilies . The unusual handles are in the form of upturned water lily pods. The finial is shaped as a closed flower with leaves and the rim of the tureen and the edge of the cover have an undulating design.
Dimensions: 9 inches high x 13 1/2 inches wide x 9 3/4 inches deep.

This is a bat printed porcelain Tea cup and saucer, by New Hall, dating to the early 19th century George 111rd period, circa 1805.
Both pieces are well potted, the cup on a low foot with a ring handle.
Both pieces have a bat printed design; the cup with a country scene of people by a river with houses, bridge and trees, the saucer with a lady holding a basket of flowers standing by a bush in a country setting. There is hand gilding to all the rims and the outer handle.
