Instead of playing directly to the exceptional art that so many of their clients collect, the designers at David Kleinberg Design Associates achieve something far subtler: They create settings where the art can add to a lively conversation already in progress.
In a house on Long Island’s East End, mid-century pieces by the likes of Roger Capron and Paul Frankl set the cosmopolitan mood and introduce textural contrasts almost as bold as the canvas by Andy Warhol over the custom sofa. Says Kleinberg modestly, “We sought a stylish yet comfortable environment that engaged the exterior and the serenity of Georgica Pond.”
