While Issey Miyake continues to create incredible sculptural designs, the 1990s boasted some of his most iconic work. This skirt is made from a copper brown micro-pleated fabric that has been assembled along a spiral with an overall pencil silhouette. From a thin waistband, the skirt gently hugs the hips and then begins its spiral descent. The angle of the seaming paired with the pleats showcases a soft gleam that elevates this skirt’s futuristic aesthetic.
