Each charger being finely & lavishly hand-decorated with underglaze blue & red iron oxide panels heightend with gilded decoration. The central circular reserve is decorated with a floral panel with birds, the outer decoration having four panels with prunus & foliate decoration & Japanese figures in a pastoral setting. The chargers also having red oxide glazed panels with gilded decoration & a pair of circular red Japanese mon symbols. The reverse of each charger having four handpainted floral panels with butterflies and a central floral sprig signature to the center.
