Chinese Export Porcelain Plate Famille Rose Hand Painted Figures, Circa 1940s
About the Item
This is a good Chinese Export porcelain Plate which has been beautifully hand enamelled, over-glaze, in the Famille Rose palette with excellent detail, dating to Circa 1940.
The main design is framed within a central cartouche and shows a man and woman in conversation, sat on a large rock outside a house, in a garden setting with trees and flowers.
This main design is surrounded by a border pattern of floral sprigs set among a multi-scroll border.
The base has a very neatly trimmed foot rim with a Jiangxi- Jingdezhen manufacturers factory mark printed in red.
We date this plate to the mid-20th century, Peoples Republic Period, circa 1940-1950.
