Chinese Export Porcelain Plate Rose Medallion Hand Painted, Qing, circa 1875
About the Item
This is a very decorative Chinese Export, porcelain, Rose Medallion dish or plate which we date to the 19th century, Qing dynasty, circa 1875.
It is hand painted in the Canton or Chinese export, rose medallion decoration with four panels consisting of groups of Chinese people in a house setting alternating with groups of flowers and birds. There is hand decorated gold gilt highlights around the four panels and to the rim, with a central gold circle enclosing a bird and a tree peony.
The dish is all hand painted in the Famille-Rose pink palate of enamels.
There are no markings to the base.
