About the Item

From a collection of white and blanc de chine figures we are pleased to offer this fine German porcelain figure of a garden bird by renowned maker Meissen and dating from the 20th century. The quality figure is heavily made and from the Meissen Weiss range and portrays a garden bird, probably from the Tit or Finch family, perched on a branch with a leafy stem and fruit and raised on a round . The bird appears to be feeding from the fruit. The figure is exceptionally well detailed and modelled with good facial features and perched facing downwards with raised tail feathers.
