They measure 14'' from handle to handle (10 1/2'' excluding the handles) by 11 1/2'' in height (height of the stands are 4 3/4''). Total silver weight is 93 troy ounces; the stands and the liners are original Sheffield plate. Hallmarks are shown. Paul Storr (1770-1844) is considered the greatest English silversmith of the Regency era, and his beautifully ornate silver reflected the rapidly changing world in which he lived. Storr's reputation rests on his mastery of the grandiose neo-Classical style developed in the Regency period. A fine pair of vintage Elizabeth II English sterling silver two-light candelabra in the George I style; an addition to our ornamental silverware collection. These fine vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver candelabra have a plain circular form, in the George I style. Each impressive two-light candelabrum retains the original hallmarked detachable push fit scrolling arms, which support two rounded waisted capitals with plain circular dished drip pans. These versatile vintage candelabra can be used as candlesticks once the arms (labra) are detached. The knopped stems are surmounted on sunken wells, to tooled decorated circular spreading bases. The filled bases retain the original leatherette covering to the underside.
