Early 20th Century Spanish Revival Floor Lamp w/ Amber Mica Panels & Cast Iron D
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Condition: Original Vintage Condition Materials: Forged Iron, Bronze, Brass, Mica Amber Panels, Style: Spanish Revival This early 20th-century Spanish Revival floor lamp features a richly detailed wrought iron frame with cast bronze and brass accents, showcasing intricate scrollwork and a central heraldic crest. The shade is fitted with original amber mica panels that cast a warm, atmospheric glow when lit, perfectly complementing the ornate metal craftsmanship. A striking twisted shaft and heavily embellished base with scroll feet complete its dramatic silhouette. One mica panel on the interior does show a small tear or hole, as seen in the photos—this is not visible from the outside and does not affect the overall beauty or function of the piece. A rare example of handcrafted American lighting from the 1920s, this lamp offers both architectural presence and timeless character. Fun Historical Fact: Spanish Revival lighting...

Pair of Tiffany Studios New York "Globe" Glass and Bronze Chandeliers
Located in New York, NY
This enchanting pair of Tiffany Studios New York "hanging globe" chandeliers are composed of two reticulated glass shades. Tiffany’s idea of blowing glass through openwork bronze had evolved in the 1890s with a series of Byzantine revival fuel lamps. The technique was popularized by 19th-century Muranese Glassmakers Salvati as a derivation of the Ancient Roman cage cup (vasa diatreta). In the 4th century, Roman glassmakers encased blown glass vessels in a delicate cage of glass. In Tiffany’s version, glass is blown through an ogival pattern cage. Originating in 11th-century Byzantine textiles, the ogival pattern became established in Italy, Ottoman Turkey, North Africa, and as far west as the Balkans. Product Details: Item #: L-20851 Artist: Tiffany Studios New York Country: United States Circa: 1900 Dimensions: 7.5” length, 18" length (with chain) Materials: Favrile Glass, bronze Literature: A similar example is pictured in Tiffany Lamps and Metalware by Alastair Duncan, pg 290, illustration number 135. Macklowe Gallery Curator's Notes: Tiffany’s globe...

Stunning Victorian Lighting Gothic Brass & Mouth Blown Art Glass Pendant Lantern
Located in Lisse, NL
Graceful and all handcrafted antique light fixture. This early Arts & Crafts era pendant has an aesthetic beauty that you don't find anymore in this day and age. It has the most pleasing to the eye shape and amber color and the handcrafted brass has a marvelous patina. In images 2 and 3 you can see that this unique light fixture started its life as (and still is) a candle lantern. Because of the Gothic quatrefoil details this may have been a sanctuary lamp at the entrance of a church or monastery. The beautifully patinated brass is all hand-crafted, but the unique art glass shade with its unique hand-etched, flowery patterns and amazing color is what makes this antique truly special. Have you also noticed the 'stand-alone' etched oak branches with acorns? They symbolize growth and unlimited potential since an acorn can grow into a huge oak tree that, by itself, can seed an entire forest. Both with the light switched on and off you could not wish for a more stylish, European antique fixture. It is of the kind that you certainly don't find anymore in this day and age. This ideal hallway or bedroom pendant light...
