19th Century Venetian Painted Mirror
About the Item
19th century Venetian painted mirror features a bold heraldic crest atop the gracefully arched crown, flanked by cascading floral and foliate sprays accented with blushes of color. The overall taupe and light gray color of the framework is highlighted in gold as well. Below is a full width molding with upturned scrollwork acting as buttresses, making this an excellent choice for above the fireplace, over a sink, atop any surface, or as a free-hanging piece. Note the original planks on the back side designed to protect the original silvering,
circa 1890s.
