Art Deco Wood and Metal Airplane Aviation Propeller Model, France 1930s

About the Item

Stylish Art Deco wood airplane propeller model mounted on a geometric wood and metal display. This Art Deco model airplane is in solid wood with a lovely warm patina. It has one large Lucite propeller (note the original propeller was probably from a different material and replaced at some point). The aviation model is standing on a large Macassar wood plinth with a chromed metal holder, which the plane can swivel on. There is no visible maker's mark. This piece is a great desk accessory for aviation collectors and lovers. The aviation model is in good condition, with minor wear on the wood and the metal holder, but it does not significantly affect the overall appearance. Measurements: Overall: 8.25 in wide (21 cm) x 12.19 in deep (31 cm) x 9.44 in high (24 cm). Plinth: 5.94 in wide (15 cm) x 3.75 in deep (9.5 cm) x 0.82 in high (2 cm) Plane: 12.19 in wingspan (31 cm) x 8.25 in long (21 cm).
