About the Item

Antique map titled 'S.R.I. Principatus Fuldensis in Buchonia'. Rare edition of the large JB Homann map of the principality of Fulda, Germany. Artists and Engravers: Johann Baptist Homann (1663-1724) was a mapmaker who founded the famous Homann Heirs publishing company. He lived his entire life in Bavaria, particularly in Nuremberg. Condition: Fair, original folding lines. General age-related toning, trimmed. Shows some wear and a few defects. Blank verso, please study image carefully. Date: c.1730 Overall size: 51 x 74 cm.
