Harvey
Located in London, GB
Original US Lobby card number 6 for Harvey, 1950. This Lobby card has been signed by James Stewart. This lobby card was previously in the collection of a US collector, who obtained the signature in person at the Motion Picture retirement home in Los Angeles, run by the Academy, where he visited. Harvey is a classic James Stewart comedy-drama, based on Mary Chase's Pulitzer prize-winning play of the same name. It was directed by Henry Koster, and tells the story of a man whose best friend is a pooka (a mythology spirit able to take on the form of various animals). In this film Harvey is a 6' 3½" tall rabbit...

VISIONAIRE 34: Paris Hedi Slimane for Dior Homme (4994/6000) (shrink wrapped)
By Visionaire
Located in Kleinburg, ON
From the Visionaire website: Curated by Hedi Slimane, former design director of Dior Homme, 34 PARIS is in many ways a reaction to our tendency toward the baroque – one that we had just fully indulged in the previous issue, 33 TOUCH. The issue is a testament to Hedi’s reductionist aesthetic and an exploration of a burgeoning new movement: art that has its base in architecture. To this end, architect Greg Lynn designed a lacquered gray monolith with an interior topography engineered to hold the bound book as though suspended in space. Contributors include architects Neil Denari, Andreas Angelidakis, and Dominique Perrault; video artist Chris Cunningham...

American Bank Protection Company Alarm System Switchboard in Birch Case c 1920
Located in Milford, NH
A fine example of a double alarm system switchboard in birch case circa 1920 manufactured by the American Bank Protection Company of Philadelphia, PA. This alarm system uses of a pair of timers which provided redundancy in the case of the failure of one; the same design used in multiple movements found in time locks. The switchboard is Model #27-2028, and the lower section of the case housed any dry battery case or battery electrical supplies, as these were needed since central electricity stations were not yet common, especially in rural areas. The interior of the lower case shows handwritten service records beginning around 1920. This alarm system switchboard appears to be in amazingly preserved condition, with minimal imperfections and light wear commensurate with age and use. An additional photo of the inner panel is included. A great historical piece for any bank memorabilia...

Baa Baa Black Sheep by Pappy Boyington, Signed and Inscribed, Original DJ, 1958
Located in Colorado Springs, CO
Boyington, Gregory. Baa Baa Black Sheep. Fresno: Wilson Press, Inc., 1958. Twice signed and inscribed by Boyington. First edition, seventeenth printing. In the publisher’s original dust jacket, blue hardcover boards with silver titles to the spine. This first edition, seventeenth printing of Baa Baa Black Sheep is twice signed and inscribed by Colonel Gregory “Pappy” Boyington. On the photograph, just opposite the half title page, Boyington inscribed, “Paul- your dad Jim was a great pilot and a privilege to fly with. Pappy 10/12/1980-” in black ink. On the half title page, the second inscription reads “To Paul Hill- With All The Best- Always- Pappy Boyington” and is dated “Oct. 12, 1980.” Published by Wilson Press in 1958, this book retains its original boldly colored red and green dust jacket and bright blue hardcover boards with silver embossed titles on the spine. Col. Boyington was a Marine Corps Ace during WWII and famously commanded the legendary Black Sheep Squadron. Additionally, he was a Flying Tiger and eventually was awarded both the Congressional Medal of Honor and the Navy Cross. This autobiography describes the unconventional hero and his fearless, successful leadership during the war while still maintaining his own wild and independent habits. With eight Aces in addition to Boyington and a confirmed 94 Japanese planes shot down, the Black Sheep Squadron became the most well-known Marine Corps fighter squadron of WWII. This thrilling true story of Boyington’s fall from favor and eventual recovery with his famous leadership is entertaining and well-written. A fantastic association copy, this book was gifted in 1980 to Paul Hill, son of WWII pilot Jim Hill. Jim Hill was a pilot in the legendary Black Sheep Squadron (VMA-214), known for his combat experience and for being one of the original "plank holders" alongside Pappy Boyington. During his two tours with the Black Sheep, Hill flew a total of 70 combat missions, and also flew a third combat tour with VMF-211 on Green Island...
