About the Item

Fantastic pair of ‘PK22’ easy chairs in natural wicker designed by Poul Kjærholm in 1956. Exceptional because they are one of the first unstamped productions by EKC from the 1950s. The original wicker seats have a great patina thanks to age and use after almost 70 years. It shows some defects and traces of use but still very firm and ready to use as is. Very rare to find an original unstamped pair of these chairs. See the book reference where it’s shown that in the very early production days the frames were not stamped yet. Provenance: Bought by the first owner in 1958 at Illums Bolighus in CPH, who was a Swedish/American PanAm pilot living in London and Berlin.
