About the Item

Very rare coffee table/vanity desk by George Nakashima for Widdicomb, Origins Series, 1963. Beautiful condition, professionally restored by master artist Mark Mendelson. George Nakashima worked for Widdicomb, from the mid-1950s to early 1960s. The "Origins Series" featured pagoda-like details and a laurel veneer finish that Nakashima called “Sundra,” Sanskrit for “thing of beauty.”
