About the Item

A set of two amazing vintage bracelets by Tiffany & Co. made of 18 karat gold, turquoise, sapphire, and lapis lazuli. Both Tiffany bracelets comprise hammered gold square links which frame the gemstones. One vintage bracelet features oval cabochon turquoise alternating with round faceted sapphires. The other vintage bracelet features larger striking blue oval cabochon lapis lazuli and smaller round cabochon turquoise. All the stones are securely four-pong set. The vintage Tiffany bracelets are colorful and fun, yet classic and stylish. These vintage bracelets are not just gorgeous and well-designed jewels. They were meticulously crafted by hands to create the exquisite, all-time classic jewelry. Each vintage bracelet is made of 18 karat yellow gold. One Tiffany vintage bracelet is set with twelve oval cabochon lapis lazuli and twelve round cabochon turquoise. The other vintage Tiffany bracelet is set with twelve round faceted sapphire (total weight approximately 2.0 carats). Each bracelet measures 6 7/8" x 3/8" (17.5 x 0.9 centimeters) and weighs 57 grams. Each bracelet is stamped with Tiffany & Co. maker's mark, hallmark for 18 karat gold. About Tiffany & Co. Brand: Tiffany & Co. is a symbol of refined taste and superlative quality all over the world. The brand has a reputation of a leader in luxury goods and diamond jewelry. Everything about this high-end jewelry maker, including Tiffany Blue color, is iconic. During the time Tiffany’s has collaborated with the best jewelry designers such as Jean Schlumberger, Elsa Peretti and Paloma Picasso. About Turquoise Jewelry: Did you know that in 17th century wearing turquoise jewelry was a must for a well-dressed gentleman? The gemstone was popular to the point when all the emeralds in the crown that Napoleon I gave to Empress Marie Louise were replaced with Persian turquoise cabochons. Today Persian turquoise is beloved by jewelry aficionados for its warm, calming color. It may vary from sky-blue to green. As to the dark veins, it depends on your preferences and a certain piece. Some jewelry collectors prefer turquoise with the web pattern of matrix as it adds character to a piece. The name “turquoise” came from the French pierre tourques that translates as a “Turkish stone.” The mineral was first transported to the west through Turkey from mines in the historical Khorasan province of Iran (Persia) and Afghanistan. Pre-Columbian Native Americans mined the stone throughout nowadays. In all these cultures turquoise was considered as a protective stone for warriors and symbolized the connection to the heaven. About Lapis Lazuli Jewelry: Lapis lazuli is easy to recognize because of a distinct combo of a deep blue color and gold flecks. This gemstone has been in use since antiquity. It’s considered one of the oldest gems in history as it’s 6,500 years old. Being a base for ultramarine color, lapis had a crucial meaning for the Renaissance and Baroque artists. For instance, a famous bright blue scarf of Vermeer’s Girl with a pearl earring was painted by using ultramarine. Today an amazing color of lapis remains in favor among jewelry designers and their clients. Lapis contains such minerals as lazurite, pyrite and calcite. The sulfur content of lazurite provides the blue color. The gold specks come from pyrite inclusions. The color palette of the gem varies from deep purple and royal blue to turquoise and even greenish blue. Quality of the rock measures by content of blue lazurite along with golden color iron pyrites. The most common cuts for lapis are cabochon or beads. Inlays are widely used for lapis cufflinks and bracelets. Cartier’s and Webb’s greatest hits have been made of lapis within the history of the brands. About Estate Jewelry: Buying jewelry online might be challenging. The quality of the making has not gotten better over the time while the design is getting more and more generic. Add ever rising prices and you could end up with not finding anything suitable. To purchase a high-quality jewelry piece for an obtainable price consider buying estate items. • Quality vs Quantity Estate pieces mostly belong to the times when jewels were handmade and not mass produced. There were simply less jewelry makers at that time and they cared about their reputation. Opposed to the current fast fashion approach, life pace was in general slower. That allowed makers to take more time to craft truly quality pieces. • Fair-Priced vs Overpriced Designer pieces aka signed pieces can cost multiple times more than their unsigned equivalents. We pay not only for an item itself but also for the brand advertising campaigns and all the buzz the name is creating. Prices for estate jewelry form differently and mostly depend on the cost paid by a seller. A pre-owned Bulgari ring and a brand-new Bulgari ring have a very appealing price difference. Ask your local jewelry store about a retail price of the desired piece and you’d be pleasantly surprised. • True value vs Seasonal rush Pre-owned jewelry retains its value. Over the time it gets rare and more expensive. Think purchasing a new car that loses its value right after you left your dealer versus buying a vintage vehicle. At Nadine Krakov Collection we love beauty and high-quality. Each of our estate jewelry piece is in excellent condition. We preserve the history and the greatest styles of the past so our clients can enjoy them at the fullest.

About Van Cleef & Arpels Brand: Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry has been worn by celebrities and royalty since the first boutique opening in 1906. Being founded by a daughter of a precious stone dealer and a son of a stone cutter, Estelle Arpels and Alfred Van Cleef, the brand was meant to be big in the jewelry world. Press used to call the power couple union “The Maison based on love”. Even before Art Deco was pronounced as a style, VCA brand was known for their skillfully made, bold geometric pieces. Later, during the century, the maker mastered this design approach to the top notch jewelry level. The experimental spirit, fearless usage of the exotic materials and truly unique gemstone combinations brought Van Cleef & Arpels to the top three Maisons of the jewelry world. In order to make this prestigious jewelry affordable not only for an affluent clientele, Nadine Krakov Collection offers a wide selection of estate Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry without the high markups. About Vintage French Jewelry: Vintage French jewelry is highly valued by jewelry experts and enthusiasts. Since the late Renaissance, France has been established itself as one of the world trendsetters in art and fashion. A quick look at the top 5 French jewelry designers — Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Hermes, Chaumet, Chanel — describes French level of greatness even better. What allowed France to reach such a high level in the jewelry world hierarchy? In a nutshell, it’s because of the apprenticeship system. In the beginning of 1950s in France anyone at the age 14 could start learning the craft. This way French jewelers, like no others in the world, gain a substantial portion of experience at the early age. Even non-designer jewels were produced by the high skilled masters. Most modern jewelry is not handcrafted anymore, and mass market-oriented production is prevailing. Jewelry designs are streamlined to use as less hand labor as possible. That’s why today vintage French jewelry is in such high demand. About Coral Jewelry: Once considered as a plant, coral acquired the nickname “garden of the sea”. In fact, coral is a branch formed by microscopic species called the coral polyp. It grows in the ocean and forms massive colonies. In different cultures wearing coral has different meanings. In Slavic countries coral beads were a part of the national costumes. The ancient Romans believed coral protected their kids from danger. Same in Italy, where in the beginning of 20th century coral jewelry was believed to be an anti-evil eye protection. Today coral is worn as a chic accessory with meaning and admired for its exceptional natural beauty. The silky coral texture and a variety of coral colors attract jewelry lovers all over the world. The value of vintage coral jewelry...
